Hey Guys,
I'm trying to put back together a barn find and need some pics of how the weatherstrip and the pillar weatherstrip fit on a 69 convertible. Seem to me the deck lid weatherstrip that came from CC is too short.
This car is a very late 69. Produced in October of 69.

Thanks
Aubrey

DOH!!! as homer simpson would say..

any GM model produced after august of the year.. is the next years model...

so anything built from august 69 is going to be a 1970 model..

is this the deck lid weatherstrip you are talking about.. should not make a difference between 68 and 75 on convertibles..

Thanks for the follow up, however the 69 model was produced until Dec 69 due to union issue in the spring of 69. They are all titled as 69 models.

I was not as specific as necessary regarding the pics I would like to see. What I really need to see is the Deck Lid Weatherstrip installed. I need to see where the "L" is located on the deck lid.

Thanks for the follow up

i was really wondering about that issue.. that makes your car more exotic...

a 69 built after the strike..

cool...

one site describes the deck lid weatherstrip

The Deck Lid Rail Weatherstrip is located and attached to the underside of the decklid. When the lid is closed, it seals to the surrounding rail. This part has the molded ends like the originals. It extends from the left front corner to the right front corner of the deck lid.  96" long

i just don't have a picture of it.. i even paged thru the 78 assembly manual.. but i knew there would not be any convertible top or deck lid stuff in that one..

the 69 assembly manual is only 22 bucks over at faxon in riverside...  probably others..
