Ok guys I need some help. A friend gave me a Chevy 307 short block, sm 465 trans, aluminum intake (supposedly factory Camaro) and 350 heads casting #'s are 333882 1.94 in 1.5 out 76cc I know the heads will bolt on but will the 1.94 intake valve be to large? I would go buy a 350 but like I said all this was free and I just put a new  engine in my ski boat (frozen water will crack a block) and the little 307 and sm465 trans is going in my 1994 Jeep wrangler, the swap alone will be around 2 grand so convincing the wife that I need another new engine is out.
So will the 1.94 valve hit the block or can I run them?
Thanks for the help.

The 1.94 intake valves will clear but with the 76cc chambers the compression will be very low.
Also those 882 heads are very low performance and don't flow well at all.

Thanks. I'll use this combo for now and do a 350 later when my checkbook catches back up, once the 307 is in the 350 will be a simple swap. Anything will be better than the 4 banger that’s in it trying to turn 40" tires. I thought the stock heads for a 307 were 74cc the short block is completely stock (never been touched) any idea how low the compression will be?

Keep your 307 an economy build until you can step up to a 350.

Thanks for the CR estimate Pontiac, if it gets down in the high 7’s is the 307 going to any better than my 4 banger (rated new at 120 hp 139 torque) and Tuff yes defiantly keeping the 307 simple other than gaskets the only new parts will be rod /main bearings and rings that’s it, I’ve still got a lot of parts to gather up for the Jeep swap, maybe I’ll get lucky and find a cheep rebuildable 350.

Your 307 will outperform the 4 lunger by almost double.
Don't be in a big rush to find a 350.
Your 307 will be just fine.
