No they will not. the 305 pistons are too small. 350 heads have too big of a cc for the 305. you can put 305 heads on a 350. hope this helps.

That's pretty much it. If you're looking for a set of cheap, better performing 305 heads, scour the junk yards for a 96-98 GMC or Chevy truck with a 305. Those years had Vortec heads, even the 305s, and perform way better than any O.E. 305 heads, and are at least equal to the aftermarket 305 heads.

You'll have to chane to a different intake manifold (Vortec heads have a different bolt pattern) but looking at your screen name, it'll be easy for your '84 truck.

350 heads will fit on a 305block. What are you trying to accomplish by doing this?

i have a torque less 305 in my opinion you can do it but why waste 350 heads on a 305 ( no offense )you won't get what your hoping for what i did is just put an edelbrock performer intake and carb (500 cfm ) a small rv cam and hei in my 71 it was quick off the line but top end faded cause of the smaller bore of the 305 ( the cam was already in the motor when i bought it for 200 dollars but good luck

305 heads are possably the worst heads ever known to man they'll enter change but it will most likely run worse then it did before like the gentle men said they don't match very well save up some money and get you a 350 you'll be glad you did

good point the early 305's was a knee jerk reaction to the mid 70's energy crises the vortec is much better even the vortec 6 cylinder are nice they have the center bolt pattern on the rocker covers

the loss of compression is the biggest problem with putting 350 heads on a 305. That could be helped with angle cutting the heads. The 882 heads are the worst designed and casted heads chevy ever done for a V-8.
