After about a hour of looking at pictures of the cat forward part of a c5 corvette I was wondering if it is even possible to put a cut out before the cat.

with the high flow cats and exhaust that are currently available..

do you really want a cut out??  actually.. do you really need one..

you might want to monitor your exhaust back pressure to see if you really need one..

there are exhaust back pressure testers that screw into the oxygen sensor ports.. and directly into small holes drilled into the exhaust pipe...

Well, I know from the cat back there is very little pressure but i have stock cats. Another thought was a set of long tube headers strait to a 3 inch cat neck down to a 2.5 inch pipe. strait to my current x pipe than to my current mufflers.

there are all kinds of improvements on exhaust...

but worrying about back pressure ...

find a exhaust shop with a back pressure tester... have them screw it into the oxygen sensor hole..  test your system..   the testers cost about 65 bucks online.. the ones that screw into the O2 sensor port..
