Hey Forum, Im new here but I enjoy reading all the posts.
Question; I have a 1977 Monte Carlo that I restored and dropped in a 383 stroker, well really a 385 cause I went .040 over instead of .030, and have just installed a new set of 186 heads and a hot Lunati "268" cam. The car will not be driven a lot, probably about 500 miles a year, but I will start it up and let it warm up at least once a month. What is the best oil I can use that wont break down or gum up from all the idle time its gonna have? Also can anyone tell me a good oil filter? Im using a Wix 51060 currently. Im going to need to change the oil twice, since I have some assembly lube in my valve covers after the initial breakin. Thanks to all who reply and keep them in the lines. Billy
