if the car is lifted or lowered, it can do that when useing a panhard or track bar type set-up.

something doesnt sound right with the driveshaft rubbing.

redneckjoe, thanks for reponse...not for sure if driveshaft will rub, have'nt tryed to adjust panhard bar yet..it looks like it might...car height has not been changed..remember the driveshaft goes though the frame. going to loosen all suspenion bolts and see if panhard will pull it over some.can't see it bring'in it over 1 1/2".go'in to try it tomarrow...thanks again,G.K.

your welcome.   maybe youll only have to move it 3/4 of an inch to get it centered up?    is your moser narrower then what came out of there?

Something sure sounds strange there.
I would compare the suspension mounts from the original rear to the Moser and see if they match up. If I remember correctly the 60 Chevy uses coil springs with a link type setup. As Joe said the panhard bar is what locates the rear with that setup.
Some of my race cars had that setup and if I raised or lowered the rear with the adjustable springs the rear would change position.

How about a bent frame..
If this was an older drag car that is a possibility.
I have seen some frames without roll cages get twisted up and unibody cars that twisted the whole body.

I agree with Dave632. I would take it to a good frame shop and have the chassis checked. I've used Moser rear-end parts in the past years and they are a quality compamy. Hope you find it.
