Here's a list of possibilities from Jeg's.

Those trucks came with anything from an I6 to BBCs. Not all of them sat at the same place on the frame. Some sat a little farther toward the front while others mounted toward the rear. Do you have the right mounts in the right holes in the frame?

Dakota Are you Lx, do you know what the headers you have are for. I have some here for a camero but it is raining like a big dog and cant go measure them top to bottom. seems like a truck header would be way down in there but like Scott383 says how far from the Fire wall are you and do you see any Holes behind the frame mounts?

You can always go with a shorty type header if the engine to frame clearance is a problem.

well the 1967 didnt come with BB the had I6 and SB. the frame is narrower on them. and they are truck headers from a 73 c10.  and we had to move the motor forward and drill new holes for front perch bolt. and the header needs to come down about a inch to be able to be bolted on to the head. can we just get the front tube cut and moved?

well the front tube is just hitting the top of motor perch on both sides. need and inch down to be bolted on. and all the shortys we find pass side looks like it would work but driver side front tube looks way to low.

If you need to modify the headers. Heres what I always did.

Heat the area red hot. Then I used a 6' length of pipe and rather then hit the header I hit the piece of pipe. Whatever size. 1/4", 1/2", 3/4", 5/8". Keep the heat on it and blend the dent in and then repaint the header.

If they are coated I did it the same way just be carefull with the heat....

How much clearance is there from the frame crossmember to the Bottom of the Oil pan. BB engine mount should fit in the Sb frame Mount,if the clearance is too small get frame mounts for a bb,

well we did buy 68 bb frame mounts and they did not work. we had to use I6 frame mounts. and there is like a inch and a half from oilpan to cross member. i will measure tomorrow and give all measurements

Without a picture I can't be sure I know the Exact problem, I hear ya but I won't answer that, as it is a Most Likely not. not knowing the Length's Involved, you May cut a pie shape from the Collector and re weld that if that is the contact point.. Someone Must Make a header that will work and there ARE some Excellent Flowing Manifolds from GM ,Factory/Corvette,Chevelle..

we did try the stock 454 manifolds and they had the same problem with the bottom side of it hitting the perch and not going down far enough.

I guess my next suggestion would be to look at pictures of some different Manifolds and see what Gm Offered as the Vette looks nothing like a truck Manifold, what type do you Have as in where did the engine come from

or get out the torch or cut-off wheel and Notch the spring Perch ( if that is what you mean)or Cross member where needed and if it needs re plate the hole you made with Box or round tubing or just a Flat piece.
