Can anyone tell me where the Hazard light switch is located in a 73 Nova?

Isn't it on the column near the ignition switch?

Every GM car I've owned had it on the steering column.

If your looking for the switch it should be on the steering column.
If it's not working follow below.
It could be in many places on your classic.
I would go to the fuse box first. You should see a Round or Rectangular little silver Can looking device that plugs into the fuse box. When you remove it it should have (2) or (3) prongs on it. Have the engine running and put a directional on and put you hand on it or it should be clicking. There maybe (2) of them. One for directionals. The other for your (4)ways.
Good Luck. I hope its there. If not let us know.... Grin  Cool

Yea my 73 doesn't have the hazard light switch on the steering column or near it. I've been puzzled with trying to locate the darn switch. I restored the engine and fixed the interior but I have no clue where or how to turn on the hazard lights.

Tru-uno:
There is NO Little button of any kind on the steering column? I wonder if it was broken off at some time in it's life? I'm going to do some research and see what I come up with. Hang in there. OKay!

It is located directly under the ignition switch. I went on E-Bay and you can pull up this Item #230882760453. It's a flaming river replacement, but it shows exactly where the switch is located....Hope This helps.

you can see the location of the hazard button at about 4 o clock on the outside of the housing..

its just barely visible around the edge of the column...

Camlever

this is a better picture...

you can see it just infront and to the left of the green key tag that is dangling from the ignition key...

it even has the words HAZAR  visible..

many earlier cars had a twist in button that looks kinda like a hersees kiss...

Thanks for the picture, I am thinking that the original owner had the steering column replace cause my Nova doesn't have it. Guess I need to replace the whole column.

The question would be. What did they replace it with? If you go on E-Bay and reference the item number. It will atleast give you an idea what Flaming River does with their Steering Columns. When you get this straightened out, could you please let us know. What you found. Thank Wayne forthe pictures. Pictures are worth a thousand words! Grin  Cool
Just some FYI: I had a 1965 Mercury Comet Cyclone. I purchased new. The 4 way flasher was an option believe it or not. It was a dealer installed item. When they were done with it. The 4 way switch was mounted at the bottom of the Dash, in arms reach. When I used the 4ways there was a red indicator light that would flash in the center of the of the switch. This was 8 years before your Nova.
Happy Thanksgiving

look and see if there is a plastic piece level with the surface where the buttons are above..

there will be a hole in the middle for a screw...  stick a small drywall screw in.. 3 turns..  push the screw end inward.. this turns on the hazards...   pull outward to shut them off..
