If I'm putting the drive train from a 1999 camaro z28 (ls motor, tyranny, rear end) into a 1955 bel air, how do I order the wiring to work? Or do I just need to call Painless wiring tech line?

That phone call sounds like a great idea, they do it every day and can probably make it simple. Chances are you'll need computer modifications but that will minimize the necessary wiring by a heap. Every application is unique though, so yes I suggest going straight to the expert you plan to buy from.
