I just purchased a 70 Chevelle, 454 ls5 engine, 4 speed... a fine car, but am having trouble trying to isolate a vibration I have when above 3200-3400RPM... I cannot feel this vibration when sitting still and bringing RPM up on the engine, but only when driving and in all 4 gears above the 3200RPM range...  I have thought about pulling the driveshaft and having it checked, but the weights are there on both ends, and the RPM on the drivetrain appears to maybe rule this out??  It also has a set of lakewood No-hop bars on it, so, maybe this is the source...just don't know, and wondered it any one could offer a suggestion.
Thanks

hmmm,....maybe start with the easiest first.  perhaps your tires need to be re-balanced?  hopefully its not engine related.  nice car BTW and welcome to CHP.

U joint wear will also cause vibration, hard to diagnose unless you take the driveline out and actually look at the inside of the u joint.

Absoloutly  I agree with RedneckJoe. Check the tires. If you don't feel it sitting still. It's tires.
