I have a 77 El Camino I would like to replace the floors, looking for a 1 piece like all the other years. 73-77 are they that different?

Howdy, welcome aboard.

73-77 floor should be all the same, however changes in the frame for catalytic converters happened starting in '75.

If you want a one-piece, buy a Chevelle floor and cut off what you don't need, I guess.

If you're worried about looks from underneath with a two-piece, don't be because the driveline/trans hides the seam somewhat. If you just don't want a seam but have to use a two piece floor, get the halves screwed in place then chop off the overlapping flange and butt-weld the halves together.

Thanx, wanted to do a one piece because I think my center section is too bad the 4 section floor doesn't look like it has a trans. section. Going to rotissery the body to see if the supports are still good. If the only difference is the cat. I can work around that. Thanx Again.
