Hello I'm trying to improve the power in this car. My block is stock 350 4 bolt main, I do have camel hump heads. and I'll probably stick with them instead of going Vortec. They have not been ported yet. I have a Victor Jr. intake (2975 I think). Headers and dual flow's. Accel HEI Super Coil. And my cylinders have never been bored. Please tell me what all I can do with this. I'm not wanting to race this car on a strip. But I'd like to get at close to a 13 second car. Please help! Oh and the carb is a Edlebrock  600 4 barrel. I'm fixing to rebuild this engine anyway. Its got a few miles on it, and I think i have a lifter tapping. So now is a good time to beef it up a bit, lol.

Compression in the 9-9.5:1 range. More cam, maybe bigger carb, more rear gear.

What is the rear gear ratio now?
What is the intended use for the car?
Cruiser? Saturday Night Special? Daily driver?
What size tire are you running?
What transmission are you using/going to use?

I don't know the rear gear ratio, was installed when I bought the car. It is a 10 bolt and I am told it came out of an S10. The car is more like a Saturday night special!! Its a great looking car, but I want it to run as mean as it looks! I am going to get a new set of rims and tires.. you can help me with that also. Its got an automatic TH350 transmission with a 2800 stall! But I think that is it!
