If you have a patio and a good sunny day, thats the best thing, just laying it flat in the sun until it relaxes. Maybe hang it near the shower and let it get steamed up a couple good times, then smooth it out with your hand. Go ahead and install it, as it will look fine once its hung in the car. I recommend that you anticipate going back after a few weeks to pull the perimiter trim off again and tug the liner tight one more time to make it nice and smooth, on a warm day. Unless theres an area that has to be glued, I haven't done a fullsize Imp.

Staples? Trip. The edges are fastened several ways, but I ain't seen that one. Sounds easy but readjusting would be a hassle. 68-72 A bodies use a little sticky and a push-on pinchweld type soft plastic molding that warps all to heck. Easy to re-tuck. You wait till u think its gonna look nice, since you're committed, with staples.

Y'all can snuggle under it, but do it in the back seat Grin

MY MY,,,
Headliners,,,
The trick to installing headliners is to start in the middle where your courtesy lite is, cuz you gotta cut a hole there.
The next issues are rear view mirror screw holes and sun visor holes,,,
so, lite first, sun visors next,,, the rest you can play with for a month until you get it just right, but you can't move the holes,,, try pulling too hard and the headliner rips. So be careful.
Use a boiling electric kettle, to steam shrink the liner, once it's all done.
The small wrinkles will vanish.
The big ones come out easy, when the material is steamed.
Good luck

thanks guys...no holes in mine. courtesy lites are in the sail panels and i have to make my own holes for the sunvisers. the only thing it has is a little notch to mark the centre up front, this should get fun!!at least the front and rear glass is still out.

The two back corners are your biggest concern because you have compound curves there.
You'll figure it out, I'm sure.
