well i guess 69nova355. a 7004r will live behind a 9-10 second turbo grand national. NOT.

i would recommend the 700 to someone who needs the super low first gear in a 4x4.

oh ya and my mechanic said he had not felt a harder shift kit than art carrs, we had to de tune it to kick softer. the 200's flaws can be easly fixed , its size dosent really matter. do your research.

but the 700 is not a bad tranny by no means , you also have to do your research because it was updated a few times and improved over the years.

if the 700r4 is built like the 200r4 than yes it would. and he doesnt have a 9sec grand national he has a street car. did you read the post? that first gear gets you off the line alot faster. ive done my research and thats why i feel like i have the best out of the two. why would you want to start smaller. have you done your research or did you just hear about a bad ass 200r4 from some guy? yeah they made them better its called a 700r4. i like the 200r4 too but you can make the 700r4 stronger. did your mechanic do the same build with a 700r4 prob. not.

and he doesnt have a 9sec grand national he has a street car , didn't he say he wanted a big block in the future , a good trans might hold out on him for a while before he gets a 5 speed.

all my trans mechanic fixes is the all too common 700/4l60e.

ah plz don't make me go online and post all the flaws the 700's have.

did a quick search seems like ppl on this page actually give good advice, the 200 is easy swap if you already have a 350 trans , its like same size

post them i can do the same thing. like i said before you are going to get people who differ. he already has the 700r4 why would he go with the 200? you are right with the size thing. ive been on all the sights researching the two about a year ago, they both have pros and cons but after i read everything i thought most people thought that the 700r4 was the better to rebuild.why do think all your trans guy builds is 700/4l60e? that 4160e is the better out of the three, did you see when chevy put it behind the 572 and couldnt break it. anyways we arnt going to agree like i said some people differ.

well, then
lol
either way you all decide, the 700r4 will be the one that goes back in after its rebuilt, i mean, i already have the 3000stall,xmember, and shorter driveshaft, so the fit is not a problem for me......
the only problem is working around them tight for space long tube headders......

In stock form the th-200-4R is the stronger transmission but both can be built to much stronger specs.
