357 would be close as a .030 over nets 355 inches. Mechanical pumps are usually adequate for a carbureted engine. Usually you get what you pay for with headers. A Holley carb has benefits in some areas. Other brands have benefits as well, depends on what you are looking for.

boreXboreX.7853982XstrokeXnumber of cylinders = displacement in cubic inches.

you would take 4.04X4.04X.7853982X3.5X8

it comes out to approx. 358 cubic inches.

.. X 2... +1 Bryan and Canted...

.. If the engine already has a Rochester Q-Jet 4 barrel carb. on it... that is adequate...

.. We usually don't bore engines out to make them slightly bigger, but to clean up the bores like new for new parts being installed in the rebuild and/or performance rebuild...

Q-Jets are a great carb, albeit a bit more complicated to work on than a Holley.
I like my reworked Q-Jets. I think I'll take pics of my mods and rebuild, then start a thread, cuz Im reworking 4 right now.

Long tube headers are good, and if you have the room underneath where ground clearence won't be a problem, try to fit an X or H tube connector in between. It does help with torque on the bottom end. Q-jets are good if you know and understand them. If you are going to use it use a good hi-output pump and use a fuel regulator if you have to. Set the pressure @ 6PSI to 7PSI. If not use a holley. Summit has a nice special on P/N 03-0201 Pro-Pack. 750 Holley Intake Manifold all the gaskets for $500.00. Won't hurt to Check it out!
