crankshaft interchangability 305 350

hi i would like to know if i can put a 305 crankshaft in a 350 the two crank are 2 piece seal and same stroke but i dont know how the balance work.the hole on the conterweigt for balancing are not the same.i have the vibration damper and flyweel of the 2 engine.sorry i dont speak englis normaly! tank for your help

The 305 used different balancing than the 350, because the 305 was a long stroke/small bore engine versus the 350's big bore/smaller stroke design, the balancing was different.

If I rememebr this correctly, you'll need to use the balancer and flexplate/flywheel from the 305 if you put the 305 crank in the 350.

305 & 350 cranks are the same thing 3.48 stroke.They are made on the same day,back to back.They have the same center.If the drilled area in the crank is in a diff. location,its caused by needing to take metal out of that location to balance it.As to the direct question YES you can,Ive done it several times.The 305-350 standard large journal cranks have the same main & rod bearing sizes.

thank a lot for your help this was i tinking but i was rely not sure i m going to make balance my 305 crank to put it in my 350 . Wink
