Not sure where this question belongs but here it is. I have just bought a 2010 6.2 LS3 dry sump motor and plan to put it in my 1950 chevy coupe. I plan to put a carb on it and a nitrous plate sys. I plan to use a turbo 400 trans with a trans brake , the car has a 8 in ford rear with 4.10 gear, ladder bar suspention.Any one have sugestions for cam, carb or intake.Would like to see 500 hp on motor and shoot 250hp of nitrous at it. I have some experance with the nitrous.
Well first things first. If your going to make 700HP Plus that Ford 8inch will not take it. You will need at least a 9" Ford with a Posi unit if you drive it on the street. With that being said.Crane makes a Solid Roller that meets some of your requirements. P/N R.242/353-2S-14.600 lift In and Ex. with .242/.248 RPM 3300 to 7500 needs at least 12:1 compression.Your really going to Buzz that engine, with a 250 shot hold on. If you go into Crane's web site there are many cams in that realm.Hope this helps.Bob"NO RICE BURNERS ALLOWED"
