I recently found my grandfathers 1950 chevy on his retirement. He was surprised to see it after all these years and id like to restore it within his time left here.i have a budget now since my daughters birth so good prices would  be great
here is the questions i have
1. what is a good frame sawp i want the original but if too far gone what car?
2. i have the 235 running but want more hp so what engine would be good? I have a 400 with a 350 crank but id rather have a 327 all ideas are welcome
3. new front end mustang2 or rebuild with the frontend kit they have for chevys?(disk breaks and new shocks etc....)
finding parts is hard i would like any websites or any magazines that would be helpful

Sorry it's a 1950 Chevy fleetline coupe. I fine most parts for 1955 and up not too many cars left I guess. Any suggestions would be great.

swap a late model overdrive auto trans behind the old stove bolt with an adaptor. put a turbo on that old six. swap the mustang 2 front to the stock frame. use a late ford 8.8 rear end.
