im laying out the exhaust on a '74 c10
the owner wants it quiet
the existing exhaust consists of hooker comp long tubes into 2 straight pipes and flow 40 series
what i want to do is make a y pipe and have it go into 1 flow 40
does anyone know of a y pipe that would work with these headers? or do i have to fab one myself?
also another idea i had was to have 1 40 feed into the 2nd 40 to make it alot quieter
or should i sell both mufflers and buy a delta 50 series with dual in/out?
=^.^=

i am taking its a 2 1/2" system...

check out the factory mufflers for a 1992 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham 5.7L TBI OHV 8cyl  a single was enough for a 350 in this..  some versions can be had for under 40 bucks each...

they did use a resonator behind the axle.. but.. it should really quiet the truck down without breaking the bank...

specs on one version  the 93 versions were made of stainless steel..

ok, im about to pick up a few 90* bends and flanges to make my own Y-Pipe to fit this '73 C10
for some reason i cannot find any specific pipe that fits the truck
i assume the 1980 c10's y-pipe should fit??
searching jegs, summit, oriley's, etc... when i put in '73 chevy, it returns no fit
can anyone confirm that the truck will fit the newer y-pipe? to me, the underside dimensions seem all the same

maybe you can make something like this work?  its 2 1/2 in. 3 inch out.  about $40.oo through jegs or summit.  ill sell it for $20.oo if you can use it.    i have dual 44s flowmasters.  they were kinda loud so i made some baffles.  much quieter now.  let me see if i can find a pic of the baffles.
