i've been doing research in turning my 01 silverados 327 into a 427. i found a stroker kit for it but was wondering if ls7 heads would bolt up to it and what else i need to take into concideration if i were to proceed with this.

Why bother, chevy's ls is nothing but proof that the FORD Y-BLOCK and the FORD WINDSOR had a love child! Why have a copy? When you can have a original! You know deep in your heart this is true! Use the SMALL BLOCK FORD instead. The FORD IS THE ENGINE IN NASCAR, THAT ALL OTHER ENGINES ARE BASED OFF OF. THE FORD IS ALSO THE ENGINE THAT THEY ARE JUDGED BY. Every engine gm has looks more and more FORD like everyday! I USED TO BE ALL CHEVY POWER UNTIL I NOTICED THIS FACT. NOW ITS CHEVY CARS, FORD POWER. TO THY SELF BE TRUE!!!!!!

it's hard to walk into a room, tell everyone how dumb they are, and then expect them to see things from you're point of view and denounce everything they believe in

You have a open mind. Try to keep it. The FORD would not be as hard as you think. Good luck!

Uh, A) The LS series of engines were totally designed by GM in house, B) they have nothing to do with Ford engines, C) your post does warrant a fair amount of criticism, and D) If you can't play nice on this board and not post nonsensical and mind numbing comments, I'll drop you from this board like a bad habit.

Getting back to the original question, you don't need the LS7 heads, the aftermarket L92 heads will work just fine for what you want to do.
