I have a 383 stroker and was wondering where the timing should be set at. I remember the 350 being set at 6 degrees. The cam is an edelbrock 224 advanced 2 degrees with a 600 carb and runs kinda hot. Will a 750 carb help at all. Thanks

I would set the initial timing at 14 degrees advance.

No problem. Be sure to unplug and cap the vacuum advance hose it equipped.
