The 95 vortec engine will bolt right in all you need is the hei distributor and a intake manifold for the vortec heads the bolt angles are different and a carb of course. If im not mistaken the serpintine setup will fit too

Vortec engines didn't come out until the '96 model year, and you say your Tahoe is a '95? How many intake manifold bolts does it have on each side of the intake? Does it have a TBI unit like your Caprice?

I BELIEVE THERE IS A MANUAL FUEL PUMP BLOCK OFF PLATE ON THAT MOTOR. SHOULD BE ON THE LOWER PASSANGER SIDE. IF SO YOU CAN JUST REMOVE THE PLATE, ADD A FUEL PUMP ROD AND PUMP. THATS HOW MY 97 VORTEC WAS. INTAKE SHOULD HAVE THE CENTER BOLT HEADS SO YOU WOULD HAVE TO USE ONE WITH THAT MOUNTING STYLE. JUST LOOK TO SEE IF THE 2 BOLTS ON THE SIDE OF THE TBI UNIT ARE BOLTED STRAIGHT UP OR AT AN ANGLE. EVERYTHING ELSE SHOULD BE FINE AS LONG AS YOU HAVE ROOM.

Ok. This swap is easy then. Just unbolt the fuel pump block off plate, get a fuel pump pushrod and mechanical pump, bolt on, and you're good to go. Since the '87 has a carb, what you need to do is get a 350 intake to make use of the increased displacement, but in the meantime you can probably get away with the 305 intake just to get the car running.
