WHAT SEALANT DO YOU THINK WILL HOLD THE BEST ON MY REAR MAIN SEAL. ITS A 2 PIECE SEAL FOR A 454.

on the 2 piece rear mains there is a trick to keep them from leaking. I use just a dab of engine black RTV on the edge of the seal where the 2 pieces meet. slide the side with no RTV on it into the seal grove till there is about a 1\4 or so of the seal hangs out. put the other side over the crank and gently install the main cap.
