I am finishing a project car started by by son-in-law (he is in the armed service and had to leave). It is a 4 door 1957 150, and I can't find the rear passenger side straight chrome piece. Apparently it is a rare item! None of the obvious chevy restorers catalogs have it, and those folks that advertise they have anything you could need haven't come up with anything. I have hunted many sites on the web and still come up with nothing. I was so excited to see the article of another 150 restored, so I know it can happen. Ours looks exactly like that one only red with a white roof, even down to the moon hub caps. Anyone have any advice or leads?

when i see posts with people looking for missing chrome trim... i think of a travel log i saw on the cars of cuba...
when they need a piece of trim... they make it... there are specialists there with various rolling tools and bending equipment and they just make trim pieces for their customers ...
as long as its not custom... you will eventually find one... someone will have one somewhere... have you checked hemmings.com????
live anywhere near so cal.. there are several swap meets that you might find one at..
there are actually swap meets nation wide... drive magazine.. usually free at speed shops used to have listings nation wide of swap meets.. and car shows...

No so cal for me - I'm on an island in Alaska, so hunting around Cuba, swap meets, junk yards, etc are not an option. I need to find one and have it shipped to me. Anything, a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g someone knows would be appreciated!

The rear, passenger side straight chrome piece. I'm guess you mean the normal "hokcey stick" trim piece on the fender? If it doesn't have the backwards sweep vertical bar off the trim, then the pice on the driver's side was modified by someone in the past.
You might hunt around on eBay to see if someone has some trim that can be restored. Your other option is to try and adapt the '55 Belair/210 fender trim, it's very similar to the '57 150 trim.
