I purchased a 1999 Camaro 3.8 V6 about a year ago, I just recently started having a really severe problem which I'm kinda thinking may be the slave cylinder. Heres some of the problems im having..
When i start the car the clutch pedal has pretty good pressure however when it warms up the clutch pedal looses almost all pressure. I can hold the pedal to the floor and move it just a centimeter and my car wants to take off. I have almost no problem shifting into gears once i have started driving *even though the pedal has almost no pressure* no grinding or anything. yet.. I have recently bled the system until the master cylinder was pushing out clear DOT 3 fluid. This problem most of the time, once driving, does not allow me to shift into first gear when im at a stop as the pedal hit the floor completely. I notice if i pump the hell out of it it may allow me to shift but a rough shift into 1st and i have to pull over and stop the car.
If you have any ideas what this could be i would appreciate it, I currently live over seas for the navy and cant trust anyone out in town and need some tech help!

the first thing is to make sure no fluid leaking from anywhere, even the line itself. You may need to back the trans off some so you can check the cluch assembly to make sure the counter waights are not beat up or just worne. That would be the last thing to do being the biggest job. If it I'm not mistaken the slave cylinder is in the bellhousing any, so it might not be a quick fix. If so the gearbox unbolts from the bellhousing.
before you go and pull trans to get a slave cylinder out take a look at the master cylinder first. replace it if you think it need to be replaced. sometimes the seals can get damaged and leak inturnally.
let me know what you come up with.
