Hello, Lots of good information here, new to the site, don't know if I am putting this post in the correct spot. I have a 1969 Camaro and just put a 97, 5.7 350 vortek in her. I can't find a set of headers that will clear the steering box. Can anyone help?

call summit and jegs. Worst case scenario expensive custom headers but you'll find'em

You can get headers for this from just about anyone. Vortec heads used the same exhaust location as every other Gen I small block.

I've got the same problem. I have D port heads and tried the HD-66609 Hedman headers, but they won't clear the Sagninaw close ratio gear box. I'm thinking about trying to change out the gearbox to the 600 series Delphi. I would like to get some comparison of sizes between the two boxes before I lay done the money though. rangos69
