Being on disability, I'm gonna guess your mechanical/DIY skills are not good right now.

So, you've got three options:

1. Find a blower kit for your 3.4 that's within your budget, bolt it on, and with 5-6 psi of boost it'll have a lot more power.

2. If you've got the skills (and/or some buddies who can help you out) hunting Ebay and slavage yards, you could do an LT1 conversion on your car for about $3,000. With the popularity of LS motors, the prices for LT1 motors has come way down.

3. Take your $3,000, sell your current car, and find yourself an affordable 4th Gen Z/28. The 94-97 cars have seen their prices come down because of the popularity of the LS-powered cars. If you hunt around, and can get a decent price for your current Camaro, you might be able to score a V-8 car and save yourself the hassel of the conversion.

My buddy is selling his 96 for $800. It has a 5.7L 350 stock crate motor with about 60,000 miles on it bolted to a turbo 400r trans. This good be a good starter for some with limited money. He is selling it because he found and bought a 69 camaro project and his wife said only one project at a time. E-mail me at theautotech_maniac@live.com

I would really jump on that deal. then take to rest of the money and put the overdrive back in. granit its in good shape and not beet up. You do that then you can have two for one deal. yours and his.
