Hello all. I have a 350 with 305 heads(1.94/1.50 valves, Z28 springs), 9:1 compression pistons, Air Gap intake, 650 double pumper, hydraulic flat tappet cam and lifter set 488/510 lift, Harland Sharp roller rockers, stock crank. With this info can anybody tell me approx. how much hp I may have? I know to know for sure I need to check it on a dyno. It's all going in my 1970 Chevelle Malibu. Any tips as to how I can increase hp will be appreciated. Thank you all.

The heads are not ported, they are 58cc chambers. The cam is Edelbrock Performer RPM. The pistons are flat top hypereutectic 9:1 comp. The casting number of the heads are 601.

With the 601 58CC heads and flattop pistons you are around 10.5:1CR.

Now with that said you will probably have 325-335HP the edelbrock cams are on the lazy side and do not perforum all that well like a lunati or comp cam would.

Stock heads only flow so much and going to a head that flows more ='s more power.

So they need to flow more. I could have had the 305 heads done to 202/160, rather than the 194/150. Would that have been better?

No It is not the valve size I am talking about it is the runner size.
Putting 2.02 intake valves in a small runner head will not give you a noticeable gain in power or flow.
Putting larger valves in a head with smaller runners will not increase flow a noticeable amount.

You will need a good cam and heads for that kind of power.

I agree with  Pontiacman2, get some high-end flowing heads like AFR's or Darts. Lose the 305's they're just holding back your potential here ....and get a hotter cam. You might need to upgrade you carb to a 750 or so to handle more power. 650's are great for low-end torque but more cfm = more power in my book.
You can also look into a stroker crank if you have the time & money. A 350 small block can be stroked into a 454 or better depending on how much of your mind and forture you're willing to lose. There's not much room for error at those heights of power amd absolutely no more room to do anything but buy a fresh block as it ages and wears.
I wouldn't recommend stroking that high with anything but a high performance block like Dart or Brodix. And use a good quality crank like a Scat forged crank.
Don't forget about the power gain potential with your exhaust system and headers as well.

I have headers, my block is +.030, and it's a 4 bolt. So what is the biggest power adder out of all the parts?
