Last week I blow the block of my 1990 350 SBC installed on my Jeep...this engine came off a Camaro Irok-Z... I got a pre '80s block with the 2 piece rear main seal... is it possible to use my actual center bold cylinder heads with this old block???...
I want to install the center bolt heads, 87+intake manifold and 4 barrel carb on this block...
Thanks for the help.

yes, the block is the same every thing will bolt right up. The only difference is the back of the block at the rear main journal for the 1 piece seal adapter, the 87+ oil pan has to be used and the dipstick is on the passenger side. This block should be machined for a roller cam so you can throw in a roller cam if you want to. Just look behind the cam sprocket there will be 2 bolt holes for the cam thrust plate and holes down the center of the valley for the "spider" plate to hold the lifters steady.

Yes The center bolt heads will work on the older block.
