Been hangin on to this 66' Chevy II w/post since 1977. Had it for my high school car. Been driving off and on but has been in garage for last ten years.

Two young boys I'd like to get car back on the road when they are in school.

Question: Do I go for a reasonable restoration and keep the original straight 6 cylinder? Or do I plan on a street racer w/rear end, V8, tubbed out; chassis, etc.?? Where is a good place to start?

Car has minor body issues, nice grille, all original 100,000 miles. Motor would require rebuild. Any chance of combining two options. Body on one chassis or the other?

If you like to hit the strip a lot go for it. But I recommend building a mild street car definitley toss the 6, small blocks are too easy to build not to go with a v8. then all of yall could drive it and it would have good everyday drivability.
