I've been getting lots of rumor that from an L6 to a sbc will be a lot of trouble, is there any cause for worry...what all would i probably have to change, i have a th-350 trans, have plans for a different stall converter of around 3500rpms but will i necessesarrlly have to move my motor mounts? is there any way to tell before i get the engine ready to drop? Thank you.

that car came with both motors... so the holes will be drilled.. but you will need to find the motor brackets for the engine side of the motor mount. should be the same as camaros with v8s... check the nova parts catalogs... the trans may need to be moved up closer also...
if the integral manifold head on your nova 6 is cracked.. and you want to keep it a six. earlier 250 heads with removable manifolds will bolt right on.. but.. you will need the manifolds... and a bunch of other parts.. spend the money for hard seats and new valves and guides if you decide to swap to the removable manifold head..
oh..... the six cylinder converter might work well behind a stock to mild 350...they had a bit higher stall than the v8 converters...
dropping in a v8 is not hard. but there are a bunch of parts to collect to make it go smoothly.. unless you have a lot of time...

You'll need to find a donor car to get all the front accessory brackets and items. If you can't find a similar Nova to pirate parts from, a late 70s/second gen Camaro should work.
