Iv started to take an interest in cars and have decided to rebuild my first engine. I picked the 350 V8 small block because it will fit in a Chevy S-10. I dont have the money yet so im figureing out what i need. Ok first off where can I find a cheap 350 V8(stock). The next  thing would be a decent but cheap set of headers. I have decided on a Street Avenger 670 CFM Four Barrel Carburetor. Then a camshaft that is not too big but bigger than the stock cam. Im looking for a real agressive low end. Any websites that you can think of would be helpful. Thanks for any input.

Check with GMPP they have cheap stock crate engines with warranties. Get you one of these and upgrade from there(cam, headers, intake, carb, etc). Any salvage yard should have some 350 blocks laying around if you want to rebuild one.

Summitracing.com is the best place for you. They have headers for every vehicle with questions to fit every application such as, power steering, air conditioning and so forth. Hydraulic rollers make good low end torque and have smooth running operation. Try to get a big lobe separation it produces more vacuum and makes that mean sound out of your exhaust. Check out the cams in summitracing they have the rpm power band for pretty much every cam, which will help you decide which cam you like best for your application.

I built a 87 s-10 2wd blazer several years ago.  If your s-10 did not come with a 4.3 you will have trans clearance issues to deal with, next thing is your steering shaft will hit most headers, so save yourself some grief and buy some specifically for this swap. I used a serpentine belt set up from a 5.7 from the junk yard for the a/c, p.s. alt. ect.  I used a CHEAP donor engine to install and work out all of the issues while I built a 383.

it was a fun project to build and even more fun to drive
Good luck
