I have a 65 malibu ss that came from the factory with a 3 speed collumn shift trans. I think someone must have special ordered it that way since I have never seen another 65 ss with bucket seats and no console. I know its not the most desireable combo but how rare is it? Any help would be appreciated.

Getting the console with buckets was optional.
Now, on your car having the 3-speed column shift manual, that makes me question if your car is a real SS. It's very unusual to see.
Have you decoded the data plate on the car and the VIN yet?
