the approx.horsepower this motor may make? its for sale and the owner is claiming its 500 hp-the cam is a 6 something is all i remember-sorry guys i didnt get it written down.This is a Chevy 355 4 bolt main. It has a steel crank, stage 2 connecting rods, 12 1/2 to 1 Hastings hypereutectic pistons, hydraulic Crane Cam(302 intake/312 exhaust)duration, Crame Cam roller rockers, Chevy fuely heads(202 intake/198 exhaust), Moroso high flow water pump, double roller timing chain, Moroso deep oil pan, Edelbrock victor jr. intake. This motor was rebuilt 18 months ago with limited passes on it. Mobil one oil was always used!!! The rotating assembly was balanced by North East Machine. This set up put out 500hp. and was very consistent!!

If the heads have a good port job done and a 3-5 angle valve job then yes 500 hp is possible.
small block chevy torque is not hard to make you just need to use a combo that works together.
