gas is good, the plugs are new, some of them were actually broken in half right at the threads. Its been sitting for a couple of years, my brother gave the car to me since has two kids as his money is going to them. He rather have me have it than sell it to someone else since he knows i love vettes. The egg i guess my niece put that in there for easter last year. The car almost started i can hear the engine wanting to start, mufflers blowing out some exhaust, thats how i found the egg, it sputters but then goes back to cranking and the cycle starts all over again.

alright here is the scoop, my engine was cranking almost started but after a couple of times it just stop cranking now and all it does is makes this ugly cat purr sound, any ideas of what it could be now???

Not sure what you mean by "cat purr sound" If the engine is spining over and your getting spark, try spraying some starting fluid into the intake.
