I'm considering buying a 73 el camino ss, but I need help in deciding what to offer. Here are the cars specs:
-Guy claims when he bought it, he drove it home and everything worked beautifully -car has been sitting for 3 years and only runs if you pour gas in the carb -new 670 holley carb -new fuel pump and hoses -new jegs dual exhaust -4:56 rear end -aluminum intake -headers -was a manual, is now and automatic with a B&M shifter -Needs new dash, and interior is in rough shape -dented oil pan, but comes with replacement -trasmission leaks - couple small rust holes in corner of bed - little bondo, body is straight - shinny paint job but, couple spots where paint is chipping - clean underneath -asking 2850
What do you think it's worth?

It won't run without pouring gas down the carb, but has a new fuel pump and lines? Wonder what the issue is there? I'd knock off $250 just for that.
With the interior being trashed and needing a new dashpad, I think $2500 to $2600 is a fair price considering these cars aren't in demand, the car doesn't run reliably, and needs a little body work.

My mistake. the new fuel pump, lines, and carb, were brand new 3 years ago. he put them on when he bought it and then it just sat for 3 years.
Thanks for the good info!
