Supercharger, will my engine take it?

4 bolt main, 350 bored .030 over.  Speed Pro Hyper piston with 9.3:1 compression with the stock 64cc Camel Hump heads.  1.94 valves, new steel Eagle crank and stock rods. Comp cams Magnam 270 cam. With 4.10 gears in the rear, what kind of hp numbers will I see?  Will I get that g-force feeling when I get into the pedal? I figured a supercharger at 5psi will net me an 11.8 compression at full boost, but can my engine take it?

I recomend using only forged pistons when forced induction is gonna be used on any engine. Is the engine all ready built.

Yes it is.  Some say the hyper piston is just as good at low psi.  Some say that a stock cast piston can handel a 5 psi of boost.  I guess the real question is the already 9.3 compression.  I could lower the compression by buying a set of 76cc heads.  That would bring the compression down to 8.5:1

Without the supercharger, will I still get the "fun factor"?  Its a 1980 camaro.

You have to be very careful with cast pistons that the motor doesn't lean out at all, otherwise you'll detonate a piston out of the motor. That's why you always have to make sure you have a good fuel system that can deliver fuel at any demand level.

That said, the stock rods concern me here. At even mild boost, I'd still be cautious about them. Are you at least using good rod bolts?

You should get around 320 H.P. with a dual plane intake and non ported heads and around 370 H.P. with a desent porting on the heads and multi angle valve job.

Thanks for the hp numbers.  I believe that I will stay with all motor on this build. Some very weak areas have poped up and I fear that my engine will not last long with a supercharger.  Maybe next time. Thanks again.

Definitely the best way to go. And nothing says you can't start putting the pieces together for a blown engine after youget the current one in the car.

You'd probably be ok below 12?pounds of boost. You have a forged crank my sc only has forged crank with cast pistons it's a v-6 and is good to about 500hp on completly stock internals that's v-6 mind you. other wise invest in a set of dart, trickflows or some good heads and you still make a some na power.
Just about any stock head even ported is going to be detramental to performance. possibly put a little bigger cam in it and watch your vaccumm because that's what everything is ran off brakes etc. It's in not leaning out your motor You really should have some blower experiance my car is computer controlled so it's self managed. sc's get blown up all the time when moddified incorrectly
