New to the forum..... Bought a 71 Nova with a 327 S/B chevy. I have no idea where the motor came from. Did a lot of searching for the casting number but came up with no luck.. Can someone please help me... I want to know where this 327 came from.
Numbers on the Block are as follows, their are 2 of them
3253268 and F0627RB
Any help would be great !!!! Thanks

double check your numbers, i'm not finding anything. they should be back of the block above where the tranny bolts up.

I cross referenced the F0627RB with my fathers automotive manuals for chevy. He told me to look for the RB in his book, that is how he cross referenced my car, by those last two letters. I found it and it states it comes back to a 1963 327/300hp Full size Chevy manual transmission, high performance motor. But i cant find that casting number, it was greasy but im sure that was the number. Ill check again.
