I am wondering if someone could help me.  I have a custom mazda mpv with a chevy 350 in it and the transmission linkage is hooked up to the original shifter on the tree.  I didnt do the swap myself, the people whom did seem to have welded a custom bracket to use the stock shifter.  It shifts really hard and none of the read outs are right, ie nuetral is reverse and 2 is drive, etc.  If i put a ratchet shifter on the th350 would this solve the problem, I know in theory it sounds good but I figured maybe someone who knows more then me could help me with this problem.
