If you want a good selection id try a parts locator. One place that can find you a good short or long block for a Used chevrolet transmission is TEXAS Junkyards, Junk Yards in TEXAS TX salvage recycler. They have a link somehow to multiples of thousands of recycling centers and will locate the best one for you.

the 4l65 is just a heavy duty 4l60 it has a 500 lb higher capacity than the 4l60. as for the 4l85 it is a very heavy duty transmission however converting to it requires a shorter drive shaft and a different computer. the 4l60 is a great transmission and if properly beefed up can take quite a lot of abuse.
