I was wondering what everyone thought about the current styling trends with Chevy guys today? Recently someone said that the Pro Street look was as popular as ever, but I've heard quite a few people disagree.

So, I thought I'd ask everyone here for their opinions on this? Is the Pro Street look an old fad that still has a small following, or is it still the most popular trend the in the Bowtie World?

Sound off everyone!

Wow now that is a very tough question. I think that is all dependent on the way the person wants the car too look and the use of the car. Obviously, if there is a blower towering of the hood you know it's a weekend drag strip car. Yet, there are many who like the stock look to make the car seem more like a classic car than a street destroyer. Myself I would have to go stock look also. Yes, you can have all the upgrades under the hood but the classic look will always be as popular as the pro street style look, because of what the look stands for. It stands for the years that car were made in America and performance with reliability and style. Nobody will ever take that away from this great country.

you would ask this question...  i keep looking at the fat singles used on the gas tanker trailers here in socal...    what size are they....  like a 445/60R-24.5... except they are heavy as all heck...  load ratings  of 12,000 pounds per tire.. single...

the one thing that annoys me... and i really don't count... is big wide tires in the rear.. but having them tucked so far in they leave 6 inches of fender well on the outside empty... almost like the used a dragster rear end in the car..  maybe they did...

and tiny tires on front..    has anybody ever done a braking test with various widths of front tires with a G meter and a 5th wheel attached????

maybe do it with a later model with 4 wheel antilock brakes which can handle the changes in tread contact patch to see the real amount of braking power difference..
(without the drag slicks on the back which would throw off the speed sensors..

again... i don't count i am just here in cyberspace...

for myself the the look of a big wide set of rubber on the back can't be beat.all my cars are tubbed, execpt for the daily driver, and it has 295/50r15's on it(all inside the fender!)do you need the really narrow front tires,no.i'm glad the giant wings, loud paint graphics and the like died out for sure, and you don't have to have anything sticking through the hood to have the pro street look(all though tunnel rams are still very cool and work really well when you get one tuned right.ask me how i know!)but just like anything else, its all up to individual, as to what looks good and what don't!i like anything with an engine that goes fast!especially if its chevy powered!
