I personally would like to see more people who are hot rodding their big 4 door cars. i drive a 1971 4 door chevelle that gets no respect from the older guys even though I spank mustangs and novas and camaros all day long. I would love to see someone with a big block 4 door car that makes some serious power. You had a 76 camaro on the cover, so why not do an article on a mean and nasty 4 door slammer? I have the car if you need one for an article. How about an article about stuffing a big block into one of these bad boys? I think the new Edelbrock/Musi 555 engine wouldn't be a bad choice. email me if you need a car to do the article with

I love any Chevy 4 doors that is the full size model. They are great works of a ride! I have a 1984 classic Caprice with 305 4 barrel carb which I am trying to rebuild in high school. the body is well and the engine was running well. the motor was rebuild first time because of flat cam in the block. Now I have wrong heads on it because of someone else in school. Can some one tell me which is the right heads to use?

We have a feature of a Pro Street '96 Impala SS in the May issue. I'd be happy to feature more extra door cars, but we hardly ever see them.

I am currently working on a 1965 Impala 4-door sedan. I really wanted a 4-door hardtop but this one was available and the right price. My theme for it is, and will be on the license plate, SSWANAB. I plan on some upgrades to the 283 it has. So far I have added headers, dual exhaust, with Flowmaster Super 40's, Edelbrock 4-barrel carb, and Edelbrock intake. Just a start, eventually want to bore it to the max, add new heads and a hot cam, and maybe a nitros system. Thinking of either rebuilding and ugrading the Powerglide or go with the Tremec 5-speed trans kit. Then upgrade the rear end with a 12 bolt, not sure what gears yet and a 4-link suspension. I plan on painting it a flat black to make it stealthy looking, right now it is wearing black hot rod primer. The interior will be black and might add bucket seats and a center console. This is gonna take time though since I am on a very limited budget.

Yea i have a 72 impala 4 door sedan, 355/350 th.....good torque motor, but im sort of lost on the suspension. I've been thinking of doing a coil over set up all around, boxed rear arms, modified c-10 spindles tubular arm set up, and keep the rear simple 4.10 with posi. I plan on going in with a 468/350th with o/d and 12 bolt fall '08

I own 2 1965 4dr hardtop impalas, one came with 283 and other a 327. The 327/powerglide has been pulled for rebuild and has been temporaily replaced with a 355/350. One is blue (97 BMW roadster bl)with all engine accessories chrome, 20 inch wire wheels that spin, cd-dvd/with tv tuner with 8 speakers-2 amps, rebuilt frontend with some upgrades, new interior, 3/4 cam, polished eldebrock air gap with matching 750 carb with K&N, new complete tail lights, all new door handles in/out, chrome: hood latches-horns-grill-headlight assy-brackets-resevior holder- almost everything that could be. The other one is skittle green and the chroming is going just like the blue one and it will retain 283/powerglide.

I am also working on installing power rack in the front, boy that is a head scratcher, i already fab'd up the bracket and now working on tie rod ends and the positioning of the rack in relation to the arms. i am installing a custom efi 383 stroker and a custom 700r4 for the go. i can't wait until i get the suspension done then i can work on installing the engine and get it over to the body shop.

I recently bought a '65 Bel Air. Its not mint condition but for being 43 years old its in great condition. It has a 350 in it. There are a few other upgrades, nothing to exciting though. Even though it needs some restoring I can't imagine ever getting rid of it.

I recently began working on a '55 Chevy 4-Door Wagon. Brought from California, in 1989! It has a '57 Pontiac Rear-end, with a 4.10 gear, and '84 Corvette Disc Brakes,( made & installed by Schonig Fabrication - Los Gatos, CA .) The car has been stored all these years, along with 2 motors. Both 350 4-bolts, w/202 Cast-Iron Heads. (1) "327" Crank & Pistons, built in CA. - (Bailey Bros. Speed Shop. Amer. Canyon, CA ), and the other "350", built locally, - (Allen Park, MI.) I plan to run a TH400, or TH350. Front Brakes are currently, "Super Bell Axle *** w/stock spindles. Would like to hear some ideas on "upgrading" to bigger brakes! Preferably using the same type of finned Aluminum Calipers, as the Corvette Rears! -!!!! Four Doors, Baby !!!!- "Back from the Past!"
