if you need to rebuild the calipers... most of the time remans are easier to do ... unless you have compressed air and have done it before..

You'll need a allen socket for taking out the caliper bolts. Don't mess with rebuilding the calipers, just go to your local parts store and get fresh ones (better in the long run).
If your truck's 2WD, you'll need to get new wheel seals for the rotors, new bearings, grease for the bearings, and obviously pads. If the rotors can be turned, have it done. A truck that old, you probably need ot replace the brake hoses too.
