Hello, i am a Newbee here.
I just bought a 1998 Chevy 2500 Truck. When I drive over 45 Mph the lock up Converter just goes into nuetral after I lift on throttle. Rev it up and go no where. If I go to 3rd gear, I can drive it but with no overdrive. What is up with that. Thanks Solo1

Hey Bud,it sounds like you have got a tcc solonoid gone south, that is a torque converter clutch solonoid. It's not allowing the converter to lock. You can take it to your local chevy dealer and let them try and re-flash it,but more than likely your going to have to replace it.It also might be necessary to tear down and clean it up,depending on if you have any metal floating around in there.
