got a 468 10:1comp comp cams 292 magnum cam 1967 oval port heads 98cc chambers some port work team g intake 750dp roller tip rockers 2500 stall msd street hei dist got it to 5000 rpm for a second just testing it but it seems like it diddnt want to go past 5000 rpm easy it was in 2nd gear i was testing my vector fx1 performance meter the motor has 2500 low rpm miles on it now im starting to get on it to see what this things got i think the carb is to small i jetted it up and think it wants more fuel on top im at like 13.5 13.0 a/f ratio at wot the crank and rods are stock i just think it should spin a little easier mabey im being to careful with it my cam and intake are good to about 6500rpm they say anybody have a combo like this can you give me any tips should i except more out of it

could use a little more carb,also check valve springs. BBC are very funny about right springs.BIG-HEAVY valves.

yes i think it would love a bigger carb im thinking springs to i did some reading last night my single springs probbaly arnt cutting it other people are saying this to

2 very good points. If the WOT is 13:0 a/f ratio then you need to get a bigger carb. I am thinking a 850 cfm carb take a look at Quick Fuel or Holley Dominators. On the other point if the coils are not strong enough to handle the lift of the cam then there is binding and will stop the car from revving higher. Going to a dual valve spring maybe even a triple would be your best bet. You don't want to have one snap on you, it could ruin your whole engine very quickly.
