I'm updating a 1987 El Camino and bought a 1989 Iroc Camaro parts car (350 TPI, 700R4, seats, etc.) and it has a great set of rear disc brakes. Will these fit the 7.5in stock rear on the El Camino and if so, is there a book or article addressing issues such as proportioning valve, e-bake hook-up and such? I would really like to change to 8.5in rear, but they are scarce.

Can anyone help? Thanks for anyone's information!

Since they both use the same rear, you should have no trouble swapping over the rear discs from the Camaro to the El Camino. Just don't forget to swap over the Camaro's proportioning valve to the El Camino, possibly the Master Cylinder too.
