Hi, this is my first post here. I own a 2002 GMC sierra 2500HD with a 6.0L. I want to know where is the IAT (Intake air temp.) sensor. Not sure but I think this sensor is incorporated in the MAF sensor, but what is the color of the wires for the IAT only.

Thanks for your help.

Found it Thanks a lot , I have bought a little "resistance" on ebay to put on the IAT, it is supose to give more HP to the engine, I can'T wait to try it.

You gotta be careful doing that though. If the air inlet temp is too hot but he computer doesn't know it, you run the risk of detonation in the cylinders and maybe damaging a piston.

OK THANKS 55GUY , and how could I check if the air/fuel mix is good or not ??

I'm going to take this "resistance" off right away.
Before ***

I would like to put those things on the engine : Taylor THUNDERVOLT spark plug wires, Throttle body spacer, K&N cold air intake.Do you think I will get a bit more HP and Torque whit all that. Because I'm hauling my travel trailer in summer.

THANKS A LOT GUYS

The only way to watch the air/fuel is if you either had a wideband air/fuel guage hooked up, or a scanner plugged into the OBD II port.

The best thing to do, get a handheld programmer from SCT, Hypertech, etc. that you can load a performance tune with, or find a good shop that uses the LS edit software and can custom tune your truck. For the best results, get a good cold air kit and install it before you do.

What's gonna give you the best results (without going into the motor) is getting a tune for the computer. If you're hauling a travel trailer, I'd recommend a cam change for your engine, something that's gonna boost your bottom end torque.

Can I plug the air/fuel ratio sensor on the wires of the oxygen sensor, or I need to make a hole an put a tapered plug  ??
