I have a ZZ4 crate engine in my 84 monte carlo ss and I want more power than  the hot cam and fast burn heads can make. Right now it makes 355 hp and 405 ft. lbs and adding the cam and heads pushes it up to 430/430. But thats just not enough for me any more. I would like to run a 6-71 blower or a supercharger, but I dont no what heads and cam to run for a setup like that? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

The problem with putting a blower on that ZZ4 is the compression ratio. The ZZ4 comes with 10:1 compression pistons, which are too high for using a blower or turbo.

To effectively run a blower you'll need to get your compression ratio down to at least 9.0:1

Thats exactly my problem I dont no what heads to run to drop the compression low enough. By adding the fast burn heads it will drop it down to 9.6:1 but thats not really low enough. Will putting a blower cam from jegs help lower it also or what?

No, a blower cam won't help that much, you'll still have too much cylinder pressure against the blower.

The Fast Burn heads have a 62cc combustion chamber. To lower compression, you want ot find a head with a chamber size of at least 76cc. If you're at 9.6:1 with the Fast Burn heads now, the 76cc chamber should help get you to 9:1. Combine that with a blower cam and it should work then.

Let me do some math to try and figure what your compression ratio will be with the bigger chamber.
