Hello,
I am putting a 4 link suspension under my 72 Nova. I will be using a Chevy 12 bolt housing. I have stripped the axle tubes of the old mounts, etc and have had it narrowed. It is time to weld on the four link brackets, etc. I will add in the 1/2" pinion offset. With everything level, my question is, what angle should the yoke be relative to the power train? Anything else I need to do for the setup? Thanks, Steve

I like to level the car by placing a level under the frame rails and then set the pinion at 1-1/2 degrees downward angle. the bottom bar on the four link should also be angled down at least 1-1/2 degrees to a max of 6 degrees again with the frame level. If the Nova still is basically unibody use the underside if the rocker panels to level the frame. The upper bar on the four link will also be angled downward the amount depends on how hard you want to shock the tires. More downward angle on the upper bar shocks the tires harder. Set the rear suspension up first it should dictate everything else in the drive train.
