I'm am looking for the best paint and body shop in or around Indiana. I am also wondering if any one has installed or knows any one that has installed a GM RAM JET 350 CRATE ENGINE. I would like to know the pros and cons from the engine it's self. I am also wondering if any one has installed the Hotchkis TVS full car suspension system. Any help with the above questons would be great. Thanks in advance.

Well i don't know any paint places or who has installed a 350 Ram Jet 350 eninge but I can tell you the pros and cons. Like a lot of the new cars now a days the ram jet engine is fuel injected. This promotes better gas mileage and does not need to be tuned every other week. What is different about the ram air fuel injection is where the air intake is located. Brilliantly they put the air intake and the throttle plate at the top of the engine for direct air flow into the engine, which conincidently is the exact same thing as a carburetor. Not very many cons. The only problem I can see is finding the right fuel injectors for the performance that you want. Then after that checking the air fuel mixture ratio. Good luck!

I thought that I wanted to go injected but decided not to because if there was ever a problem out on a cruise or what ever how would you get parts and were ?Where I am from the local parts stores dont carry parts on the shelf to fix them. Not to mention all the wiring you have to go through and chase.Dont build your HotRod for gas milage man you will regreat it KEEP ON WRENCHIN..

73 Nova is absoultely right. Yes carburetors don't get you the same gas mileage but they are so much easier to take care of and you can get a rebuild kit from any parts store like Autozone or Kragen or Pepboys. He is also right about the fuel injection being very hard to find. You would have to know about a lot to just to get the replacement parts. The lbs./hr rating, what brand, and others plus all the wiring and computer stuff to just to get it to work plus installing a MAF sensor, O2 sensors, and a fuel pressure regulator. Just way too much of a hassle.
